My name is Daniel Alves and I'm from Portugal.
I own a 306 S16 imported from Germany and it has heated seats.
My heated seats don't work and I went to Peugeot to buy the pieces and they told me that they don't produce anymore that piece.
The piece indicated for my car has the part number 8904VF.
I wanna know if are other piece with other reference that replaces this one and here in Portugal they don't know.
Sorry if I posted in the wrong place but I can't understand the German language...
I hope you can help me, thank you!

Actually, the heating mat consists of two parts, one for the legs and one for the back. Most of the time, the leg-part is broken, which is a very common issue. Most of 306 / 405 I'm aware of have broken heating mats.
When fixing the heating mats, the most complicated (and therefore the most expensive) part is not replacing the heating mat itself. The real problem is to find someone, who is able to remove and refit the seat cover properly (and for a fair price).
Once the seat cover is removed, you have two choices:
1) Repair the existing mats
2) Replacing them by using some third-party mats
I did option one once, but definitely don't recommend to do so. It is a very annoying work and it won't last very long. It will simply break at a slightly different place. When you see the mats directly, you will see exactly where it breaks all the time.
So I strongly suggest to buy some third-party mats. They're more expensive than the one to put on the seat, but definitly cheaper than any OEM part.
So, buy any third party mats and fit them instead of the original one.

Jens
